Ring in 2025 with fireworks and fun activities!
Celebrate New Year’s Eve with free, family-friendly fun at Prince’s Island Park and Lot 59 (200 Memorial Dr. N.W.) starting at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2024. Enjoy activities, live entertainment, food trucks, a skating/dance party and more. End the night with spectacular midnight fireworks launched from Prince’s Island Park and synchronized to music by Canadian artists on CJSW 90.9FM.
Park close to the celebration with free event parking on the south side of Memorial Dr. (eastbound) between 10th St. N.W. and 4a St. N.W. from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. From there, watch the fireworks in person from Prince’s Island Park or Lot 59. You can also enjoy the show online via the livestream at calgary.ca/NYE.

Getting around on New Year’s Eve
Calgary Transit
To help you get home safely, Calgary Transit will have free service, thanks to a generous sponsorship from J.P. Wiser’s. In addition, extended service hours will be available. The CTrain will run until 4 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2025. Bus routes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 22, 301, 302, and MAX Orange, MAX Yellow, MAX Teal and MAX Purple will run until 3 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2025. Road Closures/No Stopping Zones
For pedestrian and traffic safety, the following closures and restrictions will be in effect from 7 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2024 to 2 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2025:
Memorial Dr. N.W.
· Road Closure: Memorial Dr. N.W. (eastbound and westbound) from 10th St N.W. and 4th St N.E.
Crescent Rd. N.W.
· No Stopping Zone: Crescent Rd. N.W. from 7a St. N.W. to Centre A St. N.W.
Parking
On Dec. 31, 2024 regular rates will be in effect in on-street ParkPlus zones and in all Calgary Parking parkades and surface lots. Parking will be free after 6 p.m. in all on-street ParkPlus zones. Learn more about New Year’s Eve parking at calgaryparking.com/NYE.
