Public help sought to identify assault suspects

Update: We are no longer asking for public assistance to identify the suspects in this assault. More information will be shared as the investigation progresses. 

We are asking for the public’s help to identify three men believed to be responsible for an assault downtown last month.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, we were called to the Circle K convenience store located at 528 Fourth Ave. S.W., for reports of a physical altercation between several individuals.

Upon arrival, police located three men who appeared to have been assaulted. One of the men was unconscious and was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition. He has since been upgraded to stable condition but remains in the hospital with serious injuries. The two other men were treated for minor injuries.

It is believed that the men were involved in a verbal argument with another group of men that escalated to a physical altercation. The three suspects left the scene before the police arrived.
