Police seek public assistance in identifying bike theft suspect

We are asking for the public’s help to identify an unknown man who is believed to be responsible for the theft of a custom e-bike last month in the city’s southeast.

On Friday, May 16, 2025, at approximately 11:47 a.m., the owner of the bike attended Partners Pub, located at 7740 18 St. S.E., to pick up a food order and parked his e-bike directly out front of the pub. Minutes later, at approximately 11:55 a.m., when he exited the establishment, he discovered his bike was gone.

A witness reported seeing an unknown man riding the bike westbound along 76 Avenue S.E., away from the pub and contacted police.

After reviewing CCTV footage, it was discovered that at 11:47 a.m., the suspect walked past the bike with a dog, before returning at approximately 11:53 a.m. to steal the bike. The suspect is seen on CCTV travelling on the bike through the parking lot of the pub before crossing 18 St. S.E. and into the alley behind the 1800 block of 76 Avenue S.E.

The suspect is described as 40 to 50 years old, approximately 5'8" to 6' tall with a slim build and brown hair. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black hoodie with "Tommy Hilfiger" written in white lettering, a black Nike hat, white sunglasses, a black shoulder bag, and black-and-white shoes.

The dog that was seen with the suspect is described as a white pit bull with a brown spot on the middle of its back and a brown backside. 

The e-bike, which is the victim’s main source of transportation, is a yellow Fucare Libra full suspension 750W electric bike with a custom seat with a camera and light on the back, and sticker on the front down tube.
