Police seek additional assistance to identify bank robbery suspect

In February 2024, we asked for the public’s help to identify a suspect believed to be responsible for a bank robbery in the southwest.

Investigators now believe the same suspect is responsible for an additional bank robbery that occurred in the northeast a couple weeks later.

At approximately 6 p.m., on Friday, March 1, 2024, a disguised man entered the RBC Royal Bank located at 2929 Sunridge Way N.E.

He handed a robbery note to a staff member and gestured that he had a weapon.

As the staff member was attempting to comply with the demands of the robbery note, the man suddenly stepped away from the teller’s wicket and fled the bank prior to police arrival without any money.

No weapon was seen, and no injuries were reported.

We are once again asking for the public’s help to identify the man believed to be responsible for both incidents.

The suspect is described as approximately 30 to 40 years old, approximately 5’8’’ tall, weighing 200 pounds, with a large build, long-hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a grey toque with a red stripe, a blue medical mask, a black vest, a black hoodie, blue jeans, and black and white shoes.

It is also believed the suspect was driving a blue Dodge Ram 1500.

Anyone with information about this incident, or who may know the identity of the suspect, is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers anonymously through any of the following methods:
