Police make second arrest in Allan TEATHER homicide

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit has arrested a second man in connection with the homicide of Allan Richard TEATHER, which occurred over a decade ago.

On Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, investigators and members of the Vancouver Police Department arrested the man in Vancouver for his alleged involvement in the 2008 murder of TEATHER. New evidence in the case was able to link the man to the incident.

Investigators are interviewing the suspect in Vancouver. More details will likely not be released until formal charges are laid.

Earlier this month, police asked to speak to anyone who had contact with TEATHER in days leading up to his death after new evidence came to light. Two days later, Brian CHENG, 34, of Calgary, was charged with one count of first-degree murder in connection with the case.

TEATHER was shot and killed on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, in the parkade of a condo complex in the 100 block of Village Heights S.W. Police continue to investigate this incident and believe the homicide was targeted and financially motivated.

Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service Homicide Tip Line at 403-428-8877, or the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be left anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers through the following methods:
