Police charge second man in copper wire theft targeting telecommunications infrastructure

We have charged a second man in connection to a copper wire theft in the city’s southeast that disrupted phone, internet and television service for approximately 1,200 residences and businesses.

Hunter Russell KRASNUIK, 38, has been charged with mischief over $5,000 and theft over $5,000.

KRASNUIK will next appear in court on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025.
