Northwest House Fire

At approximately 9:25 a.m., the Calgary Fire Department (CFD) responded to reports of a house fire in the 1500 block of 23 Avenue NW.

Upon arrival, crews observed smoke coming from windows on the main floor, and a working fire was declared. Firefighters initiated an interior fire attack, deploying multiple hose lines to bring the situation under control.

A thorough search of the residence was conducted, and no occupants or pets were located. The structure is currently under redevelopment.

CFD crews remain on scene and are actively engaged in firefighting operations at this time. There have been no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Due to ongoing firefighting activities, traffic disruptions are expected in the area, particularly along 14 Street NW and 23 Avenue NW. The public is advised to avoid the area if possible.
