Homicide Updates

We would like to provide updates in relation to two recent homicides. So far in 2020, there have been 10 homicides, of those, five have been resolved.

Pineridge Shooting – March 30

In addition to the ongoing search for Cody Edith BRADBURN, we are searching for two other individuals who are believed to have information about the murder of Aaron Elliot CASTLE.

At approximately 1 a.m., on Monday, March 30, police were called to the 5700 block of 18 Ave. N.E., for reports of gunshots. CASTLE was located deceased on scene.

We are seeking information from the public on the whereabouts of the following individuals:

Zach Boston ZORN, 25, of Calgary, who goes by the name “Boston,” and is also wanted on unrelated warrants. ZORN is described as approximately 5’8” tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

Dwayne SOROKA, 37, of Calgary, is also wanted on several unrelated warrants. He is described as approximately 6’ tall, 200 pounds, with brown eyes and a shaved head. SOROKA also has ties to Saskatchewan.

Bow Trail – March 14

On March 19, we issued a plea to help us identify CCTV images of people who may have information about the homicide of Christophe HERBLIN. As a result, we have been successful in identifying these individuals and are now seeking their whereabouts.

Kiara LEATHER, 19, of Calgary and Siksika Nation, is described as approximately 5’7” tall, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.

Fritz CHIEFMOON, also known as Fritz NORTH PEIGAN, 25, of Calgary, is also wanted on multiple unrelated warrants. CHIEFMOON is described as approximately 6’3” tall, with a slim build, brown eyes and brown hair that is often braided.

LEATHER AND CHIEFMOON are believed to have information in relation to the murder of HERBLIN. HERBLIN was killed while waiting for his business, located in the 3800 block of Bow Trail S.W., to be secured after it had been broken into earlier in the morning. Several hours after the break-in, around 6 a.m., it is believed at least three offenders returned to the scene, where the fatal interaction occurred.
