Herblin Homicide – Police seeking people who may have information

Homicide investigators continue to search for information in relation to the homicide of Christophe Herblin, which occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 14, 2020.

The victim was killed while waiting for his business, located in the 3800 block of Bow Trail S.W., to be secured after it had been broken into earlier in the morning. Several hours after the break-in, at approximately 6 a.m., it is believed at least three offenders returned to the scene, where the fatal interaction occurred.

After reviewing an extensive amount of evidence, we are releasing photos of two individuals who were in the area around the time of the incident and may have information. The individuals were seen at the McDonald’s, located in the 3500 block of 17 Avenue S.W. Detectives are interested in speaking with these individuals to determine if they have any relevant information.

Photos of the individuals who may have information are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

“We continue to ask for anyone who has knowledge about this tragic and senseless incident to come forward,” says Staff Sergeant Martin Schiavetta of the CPS Homicide Unit. “Sometimes even the smallest piece of information can be enough to help us bring closure to a victim’s family.”

Additionally, drivers who have dash cams and were travelling westbound in the 3800 block of Bow Trail S.W., between 6 and 6:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 14, 2020, are asked to contact investigators.

Anyone with information about the identity of these individuals, this incident or any cannabis store break and enters in the last month are asked to contact the police non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or the Homicide Unit Tip Line at 403-428-8877.
