Fourth person sought in Tyler SANDERSON murder

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is seeking information in relation to a fourth individual believed to be connected to the murder of Tyler SANDERSON.

At approximately 9:15 p.m., on Sunday, May 15, 2016, police were called to a disturbance in the 5500 block of Maddock Drive N.E. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man in his 20s who had been seriously assaulted. The victim was transported to hospital where he later died from his injuries.

It is believed the victim met with a woman and at least two other men in relation to drug activity, which led to an altercation in the area of Memorial Drive and 52 Street N.E. Investigators believe the victim made his way home after the altercation, before collapsing in his yard where he was found by family members.

On Monday, July 18, 2016, Lori Ann HEAVENFIRE, 34, was charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of SANDERSON.

On Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, Dylan Irvin George CALF, 24, of no fixed address, was charged with second-degree murder.

On Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, Justin Cecil SCOTT, 31, of Calgary, was charged with second-degree murder.

Police believe a fourth individual may have been involved. He is described as black and is an associate to Justin SCOTT, also known as “Burberry Britt,” who is currently at the Calgary Remand Centre.

Investigators have information that this black male was observed in the community of Dover shortly after the murder of SANDERSON. Police also believe that the same man removed property which belonged to SANDERSON and some of this property has yet to be recovered.
