Fatal Shooting in Martindale

One male is deceased after a shooting in the northeast community of Martindale.

Today, Saturday, April 29, 2023, at approximately 3 p.m., we were called to the 100 block of Martindale Boulevard N.E. for reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, we located a male victim, with what appeared to be gunshot wounds, deceased at the scene. Two additional victims, both suffering from gunshot wounds, were transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Further details about the deceased victim will be released once an autopsy and next of kin notifications can be completed. The autopsy is scheduled for the morning of Monday, May 1, 2023.

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is on scene investigating and we are calling on the public for any information related to this incident, including dash cam footage and CCTV in the area which may have captured anyone involved.
