Family releases statement in search for missing woman

Police and family of a woman who has been missing for nearly a year are once again appealing to the public for information in her disappearance.

Sheena Ivandeen BEAVER, 42, of Calgary has not been heard from since early December 2022.

“It’s been a year now and my heart aches. It’s been hard on the family, your kids miss you and you now have a granddaughter and grandson. Please Sheena come home. We’re not giving up until you are home,” says Sheena’s sister, Marci Beaver.

Sheena is described as 5’ tall, approximately 130 pounds, with a slim build, brown eyes and brown hair. She is known to frequent shelters in the downtown area, including the neighborhoods of Rosscarrock and Sunalta.

Police are releasing two new photos of Sheena, in addition to the original photo that was released in February 2023, in hopes of generating tips on her whereabouts.

It is common for Sheena to go extended periods without communication with family, however, the length of time is concerning and we are growing increasingly concerned for her wellbeing. At this time, there is nothing to indicate foul play.

Anyone with information about Sheena’s whereabouts is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
