Cowboys Park, a destination for year-round festivals and events starting in 2025

Starting in summer 2024, Calgarians will see a renamed festival and event space in the west end of downtown that will revitalize the area and provide a new home to one of the city’s most popular events, the Cowboys Music Festival starting in 2025.

A 10-year naming and sponsorship agreement will see Cowboys Park, formerly known as Millennium Park, host more than 100,000 visitors annually for both national and international events.

As a local business, Cowboys has proudly operated in Calgary for 28 years. Cowboys Dance Hall and Cowboys Music Festival have hosted guests from around the globe and showcased local, national and international world renown artists - across all genres - on the Cowboys Stage.

Located steps away from Downtown West – Kerby LRT station, tens of thousands of visitors a year also enjoy the park’s amenities that include outdoor climbing boulders and Canada’s largest free outdoor skate park, with additional upgrades being planned for 2025 and beyond.

The City of Calgary’s Downtown Strategy brings new life, new ideas and new people to Downtown. This partnership with Cowboys promises another destination that welcomes Calgarians and visitors to experience something they can’t find anywhere else in Calgary: inventive, unexpected activities and events that touch arts, culture, dining, shopping, sports and nature in an exciting urban atmosphere.
