Charges laid in East Village Homicide

Police have charged one man in relation to a homicide that occurred last week in the community of East Village. 

At approximately 1:20 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, we were called to the 400 block of 6 Avenue S.E., for a report of a man in medical distress on the sidewalk. 

The man, later identified as David Kendall WILLIAMS, 27, was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Since the homicide, our investigators have worked tirelessly to gather information and evidence related to this case and a male suspect has now been charged. 

Raven BIG SORREL HORSE, 22, of Calgary, has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the fatal assault.

BIG SORREL HORSE will next appear in court Nov. 3, 2022.
