Body found in river identified

Following an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and next of kin notification, we can now report that a body found in the river on the weekend is that of Patrice ARMINO.

Mr. ARMINO, 62, was reported missing on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, from the Kensington area and a media release was issued to aid in the search. Sadly, his body was recovered in the Bow River, near the Cushing Bridge on Sunday, March 14, 2021.

Investigators do not believe the manner of death was accidental nor criminal in nature, and therefore, cause of death will not be released publicly.

We would like to thank the media and the members of the public who aided in the investigation into his disappearance and recovery. We extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. ARMINO.

Next of kin notifications are still underway for a second body that was retrieved from the river on Sunday. Further information will be released publicly once we are sure all family have been properly notified.
