Seeking public assistance - Robbery - 17 Avenue S.E.

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in relation to the robbery of an elderly man.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, a 67-year-old man was struck from behind in the parking lot of a shopping centre located in the 3300 block of 17 Avenue S.E.

The victim’s wallet, which contained $200 cash along with bank cards, was taken. The victim’s bank card was used at a gas station in S.W. Calgary shortly afterwards on the same day.

The victim was treated by EMS at the scene and sustained a concussion as a result of the attack.

The suspect is described as approximately 5’9” to 5’11” tall and was wearing a black hooded top. CCTV images of the suspect are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
