Woman wanted on warrant related to road-rage shooting

We are asking for the public’s help to locate a woman believed to be responsible for discharging a firearm during a road-rage incident in November 2022.

On Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the victim was driving eastbound on McKnight Boulevard N.E., approaching the ramp for southbound Deerfoot Trail. A white, 2010 Chevrolet Impala pulled in front of the victim’s car and forcefully applied their brakes. The vehicles continued onto the merge lanes for southbound Deerfoot Trail.

The victim attempted to pass the Chevrolet Impala on the left-hand side. One of the occupants of the Impala then fired at least seven gunshots at and into the victim’s vehicle. The victim was fortunately not struck by any bullets and was able to exit Deerfoot Trail and call police.

Investigators located and charged the driver of the Impala. Jamal BAROUDI, 24, was charged in November 2022 with one count of discharge of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and one count of assault with a weapon. BAROUDI is scheduled to next appear in court on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023.
