Woman sought for numerous robberies

The Calgary Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance to identify a woman believed to be responsible for a series of robberies that took place yesterday.

On Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, between approximately 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., three commercial robberies and one bank robbery were carried out by an unknown female suspect. The woman first entered the Subway restaurant in the 2000 block of 18 Avenue N.E., followed by a 7-Eleven in the 300 block of 16 Avenue N.E., and then the Petro-Canada gas station in the 600 block of 16 Avenue N.E. The woman then entered the RBC in the 700 block of Northmount Drive N.W.

In each robbery, the woman brandished a weapon and demanded money. She was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of money from two of the locations.

No one was injured and no property was damaged as a result of the robberies.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, in her 20s, with light brown to strawberry blonde hair. She was wearing a light-coloured hooded top and dark pants. Given the timeframe and area covered, it is believed that the woman had access to a vehicle.

Anyone with information about these robberies or the identity of this woman is asked to call the Calgary Police Service Robbery Unit at 403-428-8787 or Crime Stoppers anonymously using any of the following methods:
