Witnesses sought in serious-injury pedestrian collision

Following a serious-injury pedestrian collision on the weekend, investigators are hoping additional witnesses will come forward to speak with officers.

At approximately 9:35 p.m., on Sunday, May 9, 2021, a City of Calgary Transit Bus was navigating the transit bus loop located at the Dalhousie CTrain station, when a pedestrian crossed the road and was struck by the bus.

The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital. His condition deteriorated overnight and he is currently listed in life-threatening condition.

Speed and impaired driving are not considered to be factors in the collision.
