Warrants issued in downtown shooting

Canada-wide warrants have been issued in relation to a shooting where an individual was injured while at a downtown restaurant.

On Sunday, May 31, 2020 at approximately 4 p.m., police received reports of gunshots fired at a business in the 1500 block of 12 Avenue S.W. Additional shots were also fired into the alley adjacent to the business before the suspect fled in a light-green Ford Fusion.

A person in the restaurant at the time of the shooting was struck by a bullet, causing non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was not believed to be the intended targeted of shooting.

Investigators identified a suspect; however, have been unable to locate him.

Abdullahi ABDULLAHI, 19, is wanted on Canada-wide warrants for aggravated assault and five additional weapons offences. A photo of ABDULLAHI is available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
