Wanted on warrant for aggravated assault

One man has been charged and another is wanted on a warrant in relation to an assault that has left a man in life-threatening condition.

In the early morning hours of Monday, July 2, 2018, police were called to Mike's Family Billiards, 2020 32 Avenue N.E., for reports that a fight had occurred outside the establishment. Upon arrival, one man was found in serious condition and was transported to hospital where he remains in life-threatening condition.

Police believe two groups of people were outside the establishment when a verbal disagreement escalated into a physical dispute. Initial investigative steps identified two suspects believed to be connected to the assault.

On Tuesday, July 3, 2018, Kelsey Larry HOULE, 21, of Calgary, was arrested and charged with one count each of aggravated assault and common assault. He will next appear in court on Thursday, July 5, 2018.

Daniel Deandre SPARKS, 31, is wanted on a warrant for aggravated assault. He is described as black with a medium build, approximately 6’ tall and 200 pounds. It is believed SPARKS has recently altered his appearance by adding shoulder length dreadlock extensions to his hair. An older photo of SPARKS is available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
