Victim of Panorama Hills shooting identified

The victim of a fatal shooting that occurred Monday night in Panorama Hills has been identified.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, police were called to the 100 block of Panamount Villas N.W., for reports of a shooting. A man was transported to hospital in critical, life-threatening condition and succumbed to his injuries early Tuesday morning.

An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has identified the victim as 38-year-old Roy Chi Yan MAC, of Calgary.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been identified, however it is believed this was a targeted attack.

Although the shooting occurred on Monday evening, investigators believe that the suspects may have been in the Panamount Villas area earlier in the day on Monday.
