Update: Undetermined death in northwest Calgary

A preliminary autopsy completed today, Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, has identified the body located in the community of Banff Trail yesterday to be a man in his 50s. Further testing is required to determine the cause and manner of death, however, it is believed to be non-criminal.

At this time, we continue to investigate this as an undetermined, non-suspicious death. Detectives are looking to identify and speak with a woman who is believed to be the last person to have contact with the man prior to his death.

The woman is believed to be driving a 2009 white GMC Sierra truck bearing Alberta license plate 03L432 . The truck has since been reported stolen and is described has having a manual liftgate and may have landscaping tools in the back.

Photos of the truck are available on the City of Calgary Newsroom.

The woman is described as white, with long blond hair and arm tattoos.
