UPDATE: Suspicious death near Policeman's Flats under investigation

After an autopsy completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, today, Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, the death that occurred near Policeman’s Flats has been deemed non-criminal. As such, no further information will be released.

We are currently investigating a suspicious death near Policeman’s Flats.

At approximately 8 a.m. today, Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, we were called to an area along the Bow River near Policeman’s Flats, located at 32nd St. E., in Foothills County, for reports of a woman in medical distress. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased woman.

Our Homicide Unit is currently investigating the circumstances of her death.

An autopsy will be scheduled for next week.

As the investigation is in the early stages, no additional details are available at this time.
