UPDATE: Suspicious death in downtown Calgary

Following an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the manner of death of a man who was located downtown in serious medical distress on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, remains undetermined pending further testing. No further information will be released.

 Suspicious death in downtown Calgary

The Homicide Unit has been called out after a man was located downtown in serious medical distress and transported to hospital where he died earlier this morning.

 The man was located around 2:30 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, in the 500 block of Fourth Avenue S.W. The nature of the man’s injuries is believed to be suspicious at this time.

 An autopsy will be scheduled at a later time. No further information is available at this time.
