Update: Police investigate suspicious death of a woman

Our investigation continues into the death of a woman who was dropped off at the Foothills Medical Centre with extensive injuries on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, and later died.

An autopsy was conducted today, Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME), which ruled the woman’s cause of death to be undetermined. Investigators are awaiting the results of further testing, which will help determine if the injuries contributed to her death.

This is an ongoing investigation, and at this time, the woman's identity is not being released. No further information is available.
