Update: Police investigate suspicious death in Redstone

The suspicious death that occurred in northeast Calgary on Sunday, April 21, 2024, has been ruled a homicide and the victim has been identified.

An autopsy completed today, Tuesday, April 23, 2024, by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, confirmed the identity of the victim as Manpreet KAUR, 25, of Calgary.

The man who was initially taken into custody has since been released without charge. Our Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.

This is Calgary’s seventh homicide of 2024.
