Update: Police investigate fatal shooting in Haysboro
The victim of yesterday’s fatal shooting in Haysboro has been identified, and our Homicide Unit continues to seek witnesses and information from the public to advance the investigation.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. yesterday, Saturday, July 19, 2025, we responded to reports of gunshots in a parking garage, located in the 8700 block of Horton Road S.W. Upon arrival, police and emergency services personnel located a woman in her 20s suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, the woman was declared deceased at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Madisson COBB, 23. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
This incident is believed to be targeted and we do not currently have anyone in custody.
CCTV footage shows a white Toyota RAV4 with British Columbia licence plate PP322J leaving the scene. We believe the vehicle was parked on the fourth level of the parking garage prior to the shooting and is connected to the incident.
Thank you to the members of the public who have come forward with information so far. We are asking the public to contact us if they:
- Had contact with Madisson prior to her death, or have any knowledge or information regarding the shooting
- Have dashcam footage of Horton Road S.W. at Heritage Drive S.W., heading westbound towards 14th Street S.W., between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025
- Saw the vehicle of interest in the parking garage prior to the shooting
- Have footage from the fourth level of the parking garage in the 8700 block of Horton Road S.W., between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025
