Update on arson investigation

The Calgary Police Service has identified four youths believed to be responsible for the attempted arsons at a southeast Calgary school.

On Tuesday, March 6, 2018, four youths and their parents came forward following a plea for information from the public. A number of tips were also received from members of the public. Detectives are currently in the process of conducting full interviews to determine each individual’s involvement. Further information will be provided once charges are laid.

At this time, investigators do not believe the incident at McKenzie Lake School, located at 16210 McKenzie Lake Way S.E., on Saturday Feb. 18, 2018, is related to the other four arson attempts.
