Update: Charges laid in missing person file – Christopher

Our officers continue to investigate the homicide of Christopher STEVENSON, who is believed to have been murdered in August 2023.

Yesterday, Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, investigators took an additional man into custody in relation to Christopher’s death.

As a result, Ali Samir EL-SAYED, 45, of Calgary is charged with accessory after the fact for murder.

He will next appear in court on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024.

Our officers remain dedicated to this investigation and believe there are others with information regarding the murder of Christopher. We anticipate further charges will be laid in relation to this homicide in the coming days or weeks.
