Update #4 - Forest Lawn Homicide Investigation

Following the completion of an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the victim of a murder that occurred in Forest Lawn last week has been identified.

At approximately 12:15 p.m., on, Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, police were called to a residence located in the 1800 block of 39 Street S.E., for a report of a man in medical distress. Upon entry to the home, officers experienced the impacts of pepper spray. Once able to search the home, a man was found deceased inside.

Four others in the home, two children and two adult females, were also contaminated by the pepper spray, as were five officers. One of the females also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in stable condition.

Humberto (Robert) PANAMENO, 36, of Calgary, died as a result of a stabbing. Mr. PANAMENO's family has requested the media to please use the photos of Robert found on The City of Calgary Newsroom. 

This incident is considered domestic in nature.

Deibi Francisco MONTERROSO SALAZAR, 29, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, on warrants for second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
