UPDATE #1- Police investigate serious hit-and-run
Yesterday, we asked for the public's help to identify a vehicle that was involved in a serious hit-and-run in the southeast community of Forest Lawn.
Sadly, the 27-year-old woman who was the victim of the hit-and-run succumbed to her injuries early this morning.
We continue to ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage showing the incident to contact police.

Police investigate serious hit-and-run
The Calgary Police Traffic Section is currently investigating a serious hit-and-run collision that occurred last night in the southeast community of Forest Lawn.
At approximately 7:55 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, a dark-coloured sedan was traveling westbound on 17 Avenue S.E. approaching the intersection at 44 Street S.E. A 27-year-old woman was crossing 17 Avenue northbound when the vehicle struck her. She was transported to hospital in critical, life-threatening condition.
The dark-coloured sedan, with possible front-end damage on the passenger side, failed to stop at the scene, and was last seen driving westbound on 17 Avenue S.E. As a result, police continue to search for the suspect, and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage showing the incident to contact police.
