Update - Undetermined death investigation

Following an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the death of a woman found in a hotel room yesterday has been ruled not suspicious.

As it is not believed to be criminal in nature, no further details will be released.

Undetermined death investigation

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating an undetermined death of an adult female.

At approximately 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, police were called to check on the welfare of a female in the 4600 block of 16 Avenue N.W. The woman was found deceased in a hotel room.

As is protocol in all undetermined death investigations, the Homicide Unit has been called out to investigate. An autopsy has not yet been scheduled. Further information isn’t expected to be available until the autopsy has been completed.
