Update - Police investigating pedestrian collision - Saddletowne

The pedestrian involved in this collision has succumbed to his injuries.

The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is currently investigating a pedestrian collision that occurred earlier this afternoon.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., today, Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, police were called to the Saddletowne LRT Station, located in the 400 block of Saddletowne Circle N.E., for reports of a pedestrian that had been struck by a CTrain. The pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Members of the CPS Collision Reconstruction Unit are currently on scene investigating the circumstances of the collision.

The Saddletowne LRT Station will remain closed until the investigation has concluded. As a result, CTrain traffic has also been shut down in both directions at the Saddletowne Station. Citizens should expect delays in the area.
