Update - Kyle ROWE homicide investigation

The Calgary Police Service continues to seek public assistance in connection with a 2016 homicide in Riverbend.

Thanks to information supplied by the public, Homicide Unit detectives were able to recover the firearms believed to have been used in the shooting death of Kyle ROWE, 26. They were found in a southeast Calgary neighbourhood and are currently undergoing further forensic testing.

ROWE was killed at approximately 10:50 a.m., on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016. Emergency crews were called to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Riverbend Drive S.E., where ROWE was found seriously injured in the backseat of a car that was parked on the driveway of a residence. He was declared deceased on scene.

Police are asking anyone who may have noticed any suspicious behaviour in the southeast communities of Acadia, Willow Park, Maple Ridge, Lake Bonavista or Deer Run, around the time of the homicide to contact police. This includes suspicious vehicles and people whose actions seemed out of the ordinary.

By the nature of the shooting, it is believed that this was a targeted attack and that there is no ongoing danger to the general public. A specific motive for the shooting, however, is not yet known.

Anyone with information about ROWE’s homicide is asked to contact police by calling the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or the Homicide Unit Tip Line at 403-428-8877. Tips can also be left anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers using any of the following methods:
