Unofficial results for the CCSD By-election

A By-election was held Jan. 31, 2025 to fill two vacancies on the Calgary Catholic School District (CCSD) Board of Trustees. The unofficial elected candidates are (MT) Maria-Teresa Vecchio-Romano in Wards 4 & 7 and Chantelle Dur in Wards 11 & 12. The new trustees will serve the remainder of the 2021-2025 term.

“I would like to thank the election workers who welcomed voters to the voting stations and the voters who participated in the CCSD By-election,” says Kate Martin, Returning Officer with Elections Calgary. “Together, you have shown a commitment to local democracy.”

The number of residents who voted in the CCSD By-election was 382 in Wards 4 & 7 and 1,099 in Wards 11 & 12. There is no established list of eligible separate school electors for the CCSD By-election. As a result, there is insufficient data to calculate voter turnout as a percentage.  

In addition to Advance Vote and By-election Day, voting opportunities were provided in care facilities and shelters.

Unofficial results for all By-election candidates are available at electionscalgary.ca. Official results will be announced Feb. 4, 2025 at electionscalgary.ca.
