Two suspects in custody, member injured after Panorama break and enter

The Calgary Police Service has two men in custody after responding to an attempted break and enter, during which a CPS member was injured.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, police responded to reports of an attempted break and enter into an occupied residence in the 1500 block of Panatella Boulevard N.W.

Several police units, including District 7, HAWCS, and Canine were dispatched to the area. Several members converged on the scene and a Police Service Dog (PSD) had unintentional contact with a uniformed CPS member.

The member has been taken to hospital for treatment.

With the assistance of HAWCS, two suspected offenders have been taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
