At approximately 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, a man was seen shoplifting from two stores in the 3800 block of Marlborough Drive N.E. At 5:45 p.m. that same day, it is believed the same man wearing the shoplifted items entered a restaurant located in the 900 block of 36 Street N.E. The man demanded money and produced a knife, then fled the restaurant.

Then, in an unrelated series of robberies, a masked woman entered a convenience store located in the 4000 block of 50 Street S.W., at approximately 1:20 a.m., on Thursday, March 3, 2016. She produced a knife and demanded money from the clerk.

Later that morning, it is believed the same woman entered a convenience store located in the 4600 block of Bow Trail S.W. and demanded money with a knife before fleeing in a vehicle. Then it is believed she also robbed a third convenience store the same way in the 2900 block of 17 Avenue S.W.

Police found the suspect trying to exchange coins for bills inside a fourth convenience store minutes later and arrested her without incident.
