Transit Trailblazers event empowers Girl Guides to explore with Calgary Transit

Calgary Transit and the Girl Guides are excited to announce the return of the Transit Trailblazers scavenger hunt, taking place today at Brentwood Station. This partnership aims to equip Girl Guides of all ages with the confidence to navigate our public transit system. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of transit by completing various interactive challenges and engaging with Calgary Transit staff.

“The scavenger hunt is a fun, hands-on opportunity for the Girl Guides to learn about the Calgary Transit system,” says Director of Calgary Transit Sharon Fleming. “Our hope is that through participating in today’s activities, they will feel prepared for their future commutes.”

Upon completion of the scavenger hunt, Guides will be awarded a Transit Trailblazers badge, as a symbol of their newfound skills in navigating the city.

“We’re delighted to partner on the Transit Trailblazers event. The knowledge that will be gained by the Guides is invaluable and will enable them to travel independently in the future, whether it be for education, employment, or recreation,” says Girl Guides PR Adviser Megan Belenky. “We are very grateful for this experience and look forward to seeing the Guides with their new badges.”
