Three Canadian musical acts will rock the riverfront stage for Calgary’s Canada Day celebrations

Calgarians have come to enjoy our city’s world-class Canada Day celebrations, and this year promises not to disappoint. The City is delighted to announce three Canadian musical acts that will rock the riverfront stage for Calgary’s Canada Day celebrations.

Canadian Country Music Association Award and JUNO Award winning, native Albertan, Corb Lund is the legendary headliner set to begin at 10 p.m. We can’t wait to hear him light up the riverfront before the ENMAX fireworks spectacular at 11 p.m.

Alex Cuba is a Cuban-Canadian artist who is sure to get the crowd going with his Latin pop style. He has recorded a duet with fellow Canadian Nelly Furtado and has won two JUNO Awards and four Latin Grammys.

Shred Kelly are kicking off the live entertainment on the Riverfront Stage at 8 p.m. with their eclectic crescendos and folk-tinged anthems. The five-piece band, originally from BC, have fused traditional instruments with modern rock to create a unique and compelling sound.

To create a memorable celebration of Canada’s 151st birthday, The City has worked closely with our community partners to bring you lots of things to see and do across downtown, from Fort Calgary to Prince’s Island Park and everywhere in between. Fun, family-friendly and free events filled with music, dance, art and culture begin at 9 a.m. on July 1.

We have an Indigenous Showcase, community sing-a-long, food trucks, Canadian Military display, Francophone food and music, and a smorgasbord of multicultural entertainment to keep the entire family happy on Canada Day.
