Thousands of youth expected to attend 19th Annual Youth Hiring Fair

Media are invited to attend the 19th Annual Youth Hiring Fair, Calgary’s only hiring fair exclusively for youth aged 15-24.

The free event provides thousands of young people with the opportunity to meet with 80 employers from a variety of industries including recreation, customer service, hospitality, financial services and more.

The Annual Youth Hiring Fair is an initiative of The City of Calgary’s Youth Employment Centre (YEC). The YEC provides a variety of free year-round career planning and employment services including employment counseling, networking assistance, resume assistance, industry training and mentorship opportunities.

What: 19th Annual Youth Hiring Fair

When: Tuesday, March 28, 2017
1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Big Four Building, Stampede Park1
410 Olympic Way S.E.

Who: Jennifer MacSween, community relations liaison from The City of Calgary’s Youth Employment Centre will be available throughout the event for interviews. Media are encouraged to check-in at the media booth near the Fair entrance.
