The Calgary Police Youth Foundation has a mandate to keep children in Calgary safe from crime, including becoming a victim of crime.

We are hosting a backpack drive in support of Indigenous students in Calgary. We know that COVID-19 continues to impact families in our community and by supplying a backpack loaded with essential school supplies, a healthy snack bag and grocery card, we will help ease the financial burden some families may be dealing with.

We invite you to join the Calgary Police Youth Foundation at the distribution event on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020 at Calgary Police Headquarters to see the difference one small act of kindness can make to the children receiving a backpack.

In attendance we will have volunteers from the community, Calgary Police Service and former CFL player Rocco Romano.
