Suspicious death investigation in southeast Calgary

Investigators remain on scene of a suspicious death that occurred early this morning in the community of Erin Woods.

At approximately 5:40 a.m., today, Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, we were called to a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Erin Circle S.E., for reports of a man in medical distress. Despite the best efforts of first responders, he was pronounced deceased on scene.

The Chief Medical Examiner attended the scene and an autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021.

It is believed that the suspect(s) fled the residence prior to police arrival. No suspect description is available at this time.
