Suspect sought in string of commercial robberies

We are looking for the public’s help to identify a man who is believed to be connected to nine commercial robberies that have occurred over the last month in southeast and northeast Calgary.

Since Monday, June 7, 2021, investigators have identified nine gas station and convenience store robberies that are believed to be related based on similar circumstances and suspect descriptions. The robberies happened in the communities of Abbeydale, Forest Heights, Radisson Heights, Rundle, Sunridge, Erin Woods, Penbrooke Meadows, Red Carpet, and the most recent robbery, which occurred early yesterday morning, Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in Winston Heights/Mountview.

After speaking with victims and witnesses, and reviewing CCTV from the area, we are releasing an image of the suspect in hopes that someone may be able to identify him.

The man is described as white, 30 to 45 years old, 5’11” to 6’ tall, and usually wears a blue surgical face mask, brown hoodie and a grey baseball hat. Photos of the man are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
