Suspect arrested in homicide

The Calgary Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with the death of Sheldon WOLF.

WOLF, a visitor from Carrot River, Sask., was reported missing in the late afternoon of Monday, Feb. 3, 2020. He was last seen at approximately 7 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 2, leaving the Sandman Hotel, located at 888 7 Avenue S.W.

Evidence connected to WOLF’s disappearance was discovered in Elliston Park and a subsequent search of the park occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

In the mid-afternoon hours of Tuesday, Feb. 4, WOLF’s body was located in a rural area north of Airdrie. An autopsy completed today, Friday, Feb. 7, confirmed that WOLF died as a result of a homicide.

Earlier this afternoon, we arrested a man believed to be responsible for WOLF’s homicide. The man cannot be named until he has been officially charged.
