Statement Re: Disturbance at Calgary International Airport

Last night, our Airport Unit officers attended a disturbance on a plane.

At approximately 5:45 p.m., yesterday, Friday, Dec. 31, we were called for reports of a disturbance on an Air Canada passenger flight at the Calgary International Airport. Upon arrival, officers assisted Air Canada staff with keeping the peace and deplaning passengers. Passengers were being asked to deplane due to a disturbance involving multiple passengers in the aircraft cabin.

A short time later, most passengers were reboarded, and the flight departed.
