Serious assault investigation

One man has been taken to hospital following a stabbing in the city’s northeast this afternoon.

Calgary police were called at approximately 3:45 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, for reports of a stabbing in the 200 block of Fallswater Road N.E. One man was taken to hospital in serious, but non-life threatening condition.

Officers are working to identify a suspect description, however, at this time it is not believed to be a random incident.
