Senior assaulted and robbed outside casino

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify a woman believed to be connected to the assault and robbery of a senior outside a casino.

At approximately 9 p.m., on Thursday, June 7, 2018, an 88-year-old man attended the Calgary Casino located at 1420 Meridian Road N.E. The senior left the casino and entered his vehicle, at which time he was approached by a woman who attempted to sell him what she claimed was gold jewelry. The victim declined to buy the jewelry and the woman allegedly reached into the car and assaulted the victim. She then allegedly stole a large sum of money from the victim before fleeing.

The woman is described as nearly 6’ tall, with a large build and black hair, wearing blue flowy pants, a white polka-dot shirt and a blue and white shawl.

It is believed she may have been accompanied by a man who was described as having medium build and black hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a blue button-up shirt.
