Seeking witnesses to life-threatening collision

The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is investigating an incident with a truck that left one man in life-threatening condition last night.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 truck, driven by a man in his 20s, was northbound in the 2400 block of 2A Street S.E., near the Erlton LRT Station. The 30-year-old male front passenger exited the vehicle while it was in motion. The truck came to a stop a short distance later. There was no physical evidence to indicate aggressive braking, accelerating or steering from the vehicle.

The front passenger sustained critical, life-threatening injuries. The driver was not injured.

Alcohol and drugs, in regards to the passenger, may have been factors in the collision.
