Seeking public assistance to identify suspicious person

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify a man who allegedly approached a child.

At approximately 1 p.m., on Friday, March 8, 2019, a 10-year-old boy was walking home from Marshall Springs Middle School, located in the community of Evergreen. The boy was in the area of Everoak Drive and Evermeadow Avenue S.W. when a man in a vehicle offered him a ride home.

The boy declined and continued home at which point police were contacted.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 30 years old, with shoulder-length, curly, black hair, glasses and a handlebar mustache. He was wearing a grey Under Armour brand hoodie and jeans.

The vehicle is described as a smaller black car with tinted windows.
